Triveni Digital Brings NEXTGEN TV Expertise to ATSC Jamaica Bootcamp
and Seminar

Triveni Digital today announced that the company will showcase its ATSC 3.0 broadcast chain and analyzers, as well as highlight its datacasting solution utilizing a variety of receivers, at the ATSC Jamaica Bootcamp and Seminar, taking place July 11-14 at the Ocean Coral Springs Resort and Conference Center in Trelawny, Jamaica. In addition, Triveni Digital’s Senior Vice President of Emergent Technology Development, Mark Corl, will share insights on ATSC 3.0 datacasting, explore NEXTGEN TV monetization opportunities, and provide an ATSC 3.0 global deployment update during a series of panel discussions at the event.

Corl will bring his ATSC 3.0 expertise to the following panel discussions at the ATSC Jamaica Bootcamp and Seminar:
- "Transport – IP Broadcasting Enables Hybrid OTT/OTA and Datacasting” on July 12 at 4:00 p.m., co-presented with Dr. Youngkwon Lim, research engineer, principal, at Samsung, and the ATSC chair on S33 Management Protocols. This session will highlight the IP-centric nature of ATSC 3.0, its ability to natively support hybrid delivery of content over the air and over the top, and various tools for enhancing delivery of real-time and non-real-time content.
- “Interactivity – Examples and Monetization Opportunities” on July 12 at 4:30 p.m., co-presented with Raj Patel, CEO of Yotta Media Labs. This panel will focus on the capabilities of the ATSC 3.0 Interactive Content standard, exploring web-centric tools for broadcasters, and examples of interactive applications being deployed.
- “Global Deployment Update” on July 13 at 2:00 p.m., co-presented with Aldo Cugnini, president at AGC Systems, technical advisor at Broadcasting Commission of Jamaica, and chair of the ATSC Expert Group on ITU; Skip Pizzi, media consultant at Zenith/LG Electronics and chair of the Brazil Implementation Team; and Alan Stein, vice president, technology at InterDigital and chair of the ATSC Planning Team 6 on Global Recognition of ATSC 3.0. This panel will provide an update on the various ATSC activities throughout the world, including Jamaica, Brazil, India, Canada, and Mexico, as well as initiatives to make ATSC 3.0 a global standard.
With 25 years of experience and extensive contributions in product engineering and architecture, Corl has an unparalleled knowledge of ATSC 3.0. Corl is the chair of the ATSC 3.0 Specialist Group on Interactive Content and the chair of the ATSC India Implementation Team.
